The Living Loft

The L.A. Design Gallery showcases the colorful, sought–after paintings of Montana artist Larry Pirnie. The gallery frequently hosts showings and events, making it a social center of sorts. The loft above the gallery was transformed into a living space where visitors can enjoy the spacious feel of the west, thanks to double–height ceilings, after viewing Larry’s vibrant take on the life of the cowboy.

With all the newest conveniences, the full kitchen makes entertaining the crowds almost effortless. A Sub–Zero 700 series refrigerator/freezer and adjacent Sub–Zero wine storage unit holds the evening’s hors d’oeuvres and beverage selection. The stainless steel Wolf DF364C 36” range and matching hood, situated behind the island, allows preparation to be as elaborate or simple as you like. The undercounter Wolf warming drawer and undercounter Sharp KB6014LS microwave drawer next to the sink are convenient extra cooking spaces and help with timing. The Asko D3531XLHD dishwasher installed in the far corner has the same stainless finish as the other appliances. Straight, cylindrical stainless handles on the cabinets pull the design together for a smooth, modern look.

Intentionally stark in design, the black and white surroundings in the entertainment area of the Living Loft allow the eye to be drawn to the details not only in the pillows, but also in the intricate, hand–crafted frame that surrounds the flat–panel, high definition television. Lounge next to the fireplace on wide, wing–backed chairs, or have a seat for a moment on the bench–styled leather ottoman. The space is designed to help you enjoy the conversation around you or consider the art you left downstairs.
