Montana Parade Of Homes 2009
Every year, building associations in communities throughout Montana organize a tour of new homes built in the area. These homes showcase new architectural, design, and building trends, and they also feature the latest in home theater and appliance technology. Vann’s works with partners in each of our markets to provide top–of–the–line electronics and appliances for these homes.
A recent trend in home electronics is distributed audio and video. A handful of entertainment product manufacturers specialize in systems that use one main control unit to send entertainment content to multiple places. The Elan system, for example, outputs audio and video signals from multiple sources to a number of areas, called zones, throughout a home. A step beyond distributed A/V, some homes incorporate all communications into one control center—cable or satellite, telephone, and internet connections are organized in one panel for easy access.
On the appliance front, the continuing popularity of the professional style means kitchens often feature lots of stainless steel. Manufacturers like Viking, Wolf, Sub–Zero, and Thermador are still top kitchen appliance brand names. And they’re getting more creative with their appliance offerings. While larger, full–sized units are chosen for their capacity, more compact versions are making an appearance due to their functionality and convenience. Refrigerator and microwave drawers are built in to cabinet space, and cooktops are paired with wall ovens for design flexibility.
Take a look at how builders around the state have incorporated electronics and appliances into different architectural styles and created homes that facilitate a certain kind of living style.
